TAN COCO

Simon Doonan and others who know about such trivia, reminds that in "the 1920's, trendsetter Chanel went on a boat trip and forgot to bring her sunbonnet.  Coco got baked.  She returned to shore looking daringly dusky."  This is not an April Fools' scam.  It's true.  All because of Coco, the tan-look "sparked a trend which has been seen as a status symbol."   (story link)

What if she'd jumped off a bridge?  Would we?

Principles in the type:  "It's tragic how few people ever 'possess their souls' before they die. 'Nothing is more rare in any man,' says Emerson, 'than an act of his own.' It is quite true. Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their life is a mimicry, their passions a quotation.”     Oscar Wilde
