THANKS

It's that time of the year again!  Thanksgiving.  Enjoy the foodie video.  Kiddos are tasting Thanksgiving side dishes, mostly of years gone by.  Happy about marshmallow covered sweet potatoes arriving on the Thanksgiving scene!  I can't quit you, marshmallow covered sweet potatoes.  (Nowhere but America, am I right or am I right?)

I'm enjoying the girl who proclaims, "it's bad and good at the same time."  Me thinks she spurts out guru-like life wisdom.

Principle in the type:  "Regardless of our circumstances, each of us has much for which to be grateful if we will but pause and contemplate our blessings.  This is a wonderful time to be on earth. While there is much that is wrong in the world today, there are many things that are right and good. There are marriages that make it, parents who love their children and sacrifice for them, friends who care about us and help us, teachers who teach. Our lives are blessed in countless ways."    Thomas S. Monson

FLOWER POWER

Beautifying and inspiring her community, florist Lisa Waud plans "to turn an abandoned house in Hamtrack, Michigan into [a] beautiful flower-covered oasis as part of an exhibit planned" for this October.  She purchased the house for $500, and envisions the walls and ceilings filled with living plants and flowers in the four day exhibit, eventually becoming a flower farm and a design center."   story

Principle in the type:  "We have a moral obligation to exercise our personal capabilities of mind, muscle, and spirit in a way that will return to . . . our families, and our society the fruits of our best efforts."   J. Richard Clarke
