GOOD SWEAT

Listen, I get it.  I'm part hermit myself.  But the missing Richard Simmons?  What's up?   The "fitness guru, who hasn't been seen in public for three years, is fine, fine, fine," says older brother Lenny Simmons.   While rumors still swirl, what didn't change from Simmons' previous life, was his example, at teaching positive body image and good health practices.          story

FLOAT LIKE A BUTTERFLY, STING LIKE A BEE

There is such a thing as Major League Eating - and I mean beyond the hot dog affairs.  Professional competitive food eaters exist.  For instance, days ago Gideon 'The Truth' Oji kicked major kale butt.  He's champion of the World's First Kale Eating Contest.   (Should you feel like preparing for next year - work yourself up to over twenty-five and a half bowls.)   " 'I'm a health and fitness professional, and I've been on the road eating chicken, hot dogs, and all-American foods,' Oji said after hoisting the trophy."    Healthy.  Riiigghtnews

SUPER TACO BELL

Superbowl was a good time.  Commercials were meh.  And I liked the Coldplay (and friends) halftime show.
Taco Bell's commercial used Live Más (English translation-"more") as their slogan.  (Wee reminder:  in taco language however, there is nothing as awesome as the classic SNL taco town commercial parody.)    More can be better, but using discretion never hurts.

The New York City non-profit God's Love We Deliver recently got "a spacious new headquarters" that can now take "it's vital mission to a whole new level," reports Architectural Digest.   Since 1985, GLWD has delivered over 16 million meals to the needy sick and their families.    " 'Delivering a hot meal to someone feels so good,' says Dorella Walters, senior director of program services . . . "       story

CEO'ING

Michael Kwan, 44, immigrated to the United States from China with his family over two decades ago.  He started work as a busboy, and now is CEO of a business group that "owns and operates 22 restaurants . . . 'In the States, there is so much opportunity.  I really believe if you work hard, you'll be successful,' said Kwan."    story
