GET THE LED OUT

The face off in court between Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven" and American band Spirit's "Taurus" (which you can listen to here), continues.  Did the Zepp rip the rift?  Nah, says music expert Lawrence Ferrara.  That same chord progression "musical element was used 300 years ago, as well as in many pop songs since then."    Some melodies make for a Good foundation, obvi.

THIS ONE'S ON ME?

"Former USC [football] coach Steve Sarkisian filed a lawsuit against the university on Monday saying he was 'kicked to the curb' instead of being allowed to seek treatment for alcoholism."   Sarkisian was let go Oct. 12th, a big to-do if you remember.   USC was "profoundly disappointed in how Mr. Sarkisian has mischaracterized the facts . . . "      news
