MOTHER'S DAY GIFT, NOT

Remember this post?    Well, leaving your little one with a car as the babysitter, lives on.   This time Poppa, a personal trainer, needed to "met with a client" at 24-hour Fitness.   His crying 8-month-old remained in an unlocked, engine running, parked car for about an hour before the police came.   Nice one, Poppa.   Not.    news

SMART DOESN'T GROW ON TREES

"Police say a suspect had his first name stenciled on a sweatshirt he wore while breaking into a western Pennsylvania taxi company where he used to work. . . . State Police security video showed the suspect wearing a shirt with the name 'Josh' on it," hence 26-year-old Joshua Jording finds himself now facing a preliminary hearing on burglary, theft and other charges.       news

THE STRAIGHT POOP

"A woman wanted on identity theft charges has been arrested in Oregon after a construction worker lifted the lid of a portable toilet to find her hiding inside."    news         With two warrants out for her arrest, Treasure Dawn Shockey, 27, ran from police who tried to talk to her.   Twenty minutes later a construction worker found her when he lifted the lid of a site porta-potty.                     ---Listen, I'm as disturbed as you are.

A FEW GOOD MEN

Public Morals is new on TNT.  Series creator Ed Burns places the cop drama smack in the middle of the 1960's New York Police Department's public morals division.  I wouldn't call his officer Terry Muldoon character a total bad guy, but he ain't no good guy either.  Muldoon is definitely up to some shenanigans.  "The line between the good guys and the bad guys is very thin,"  says Muldoon.    story
