Happy Memorial Day weekend! A royally worthy celebration. This video warms my heart. Remembering the sacrifice of others, serves to enrich the human soul and the human behavior.

How beautiful is it we are in a country where the transfer of power is directed so seamlessly? Really. (There are nations that aren't so good at it!) Everybody relax. Hope for the best. Be your best where you are. Friends and neighbors do not all vote alike. That's okay. Pretty stoked we aren't zombie-think-and-lookalikes. Do your thing, and do it thoughtfully and with character. Be the good. This weekend's video has nothing to do with Republicans and Democrats. Just take-you-away beauty. You're welcome:

A perfect way to finish this All-American week: the PBS Hamilton's America. Sooo good. Set aside and hour plus for this fantastic history lesson, as well as thrill for the arts. (2-minute trailer below, full don't-miss-episode HERE.) First came indigenous people, then British settlers, then a really big meal, then other stuff, then other stuff, then the United States, and then, eventually, Hamilton, the musical, and this PBS Special. Enjoy.

Just a quick game of 'New-President-Trivia' today. (Yup, gotta keep it light. I can hardly deal, as is.) Question: When does the new president get to move in? It's January 20. "Seems like a bit of a wait, but up until 1937 presidents weren't usually sworn in until March because it took so long to count and report the results." story
Anyways, I'm still routing for you, America. Love you lots.

First opened 26 years ago, the Richard Nixon Presidential Library "was dismissed by many historians as more of a whitewash than a faithful retelling," of the Nixon presidency years. Recently redesigned, reworked, and reopened, the Library has been lauded now as a far better and more honest representation of the Nixon story. (Oh, silly Watergate. It was a simpler time in Presidential warfare. You should see us now!) news

The long awaited opening of the National Museum of African American History and Culture, happened in September. It is a beautiful building, and likely the last of anything that will be built on the National Mall in Washington. In a Smithsonian interview, Architect David Adjaye said the "primary spirit behind" his plan was one of "praise." He envisioned it as "a human posture. It's the idea that you come from the ground up ... the form of the building suggests a very upward mobility." story

Last week the iconic American flag raised at World Trade Center by three firefighters near Ground Zero 15 years ago, was donated to the National 9/11 Memorial & Museum. DNA testing validated its authenticity as the flag taken from a nearby yacht and flown as a symbol of hope. news
