TALENT'Y

Ah, you know, these guys are just cute.  If it's a set-up or not, I don't know.  But I'm a sucker for some of these Got Talent, clips.  I still cry at  Susan Boyle, I Dreamed A Dream.    What?  You thought I had a heart of stone?  I don't!

Postmodern Jukebox.  Yes, girls just wanna have fun.  But some other things too.  Let's just keep it light today though.  Enjoy.

COVER ME

I can't get enough of this.  I'm sure you can see why.  And enjoy it in Journey or George Michael  fashion as well.

HEARTING MTM

I get the Mary Tyler Moore love.  And The Mary Tyler Moore Show, man, had legs, inspiring many a generation of women.  The theme song will always make me happy.  (Is it melancholy?  Hope?  Girlpower appreciation?)  Thank you Mary for showing what lovely, smart, committed and capable can do.  RIP Mary Tyler Moore.      news

LET'S GO!

It's Fall!  This first weekend of October is one of my absolute favorites.  Makes me want to happy dance, like this (what, you think I can't??):

SEW GOOD

Melody Hellared, 15, attended San Diego Comic-Con, all in!   She wore a gown, designed and sewn herself, "from decade's worth of free Comic-Con tote bags."  Long and ruffled, and a real attention getter.  Who taught her to sew?  Grandma.        story

THE ARTIST FORMERLY AND STILL KNOWN AS PRINCE

The talented Prince.  (His best song per me was Cream.)   57 is too young.

Besides his own music, "Prince was famous for having writing, instrumental, or production credits on other artists' albums."  Looking at deep cuts, BuzzFeed found a winner.   Maybe this will be in the news everywhere by tomorrow, but Prince wrote Donald Trump (Black Version) performed on a 1990 album by R&B/funk group, The Time.   (Called Morris Day and The Time by the time they were in the Prince film, Purple Rain.)    I mean, good stuff, right?

R.I.P. Prince Nelson.  Thanks for sharing your talent.
