SEW GOOD

Melody Hellared, 15, attended San Diego Comic-Con, all in!   She wore a gown, designed and sewn herself, "from decade's worth of free Comic-Con tote bags."  Long and ruffled, and a real attention getter.  Who taught her to sew?  Grandma.        story

The Los Angeles Dodgers are winners!  (So far.  This season.  Two games in.)   Yahoo!   Monday night, they beat the San Diego Padres 15-0, with "the most runs the Dodgers have scored on Opening Day since 1983 ..."   All is well in the universe.       news
