Dolly Parton just released her 43rd studio album!  Bow down to the Queen.  I hold fast to Parton's original and still the best, I Will Always Love You, as solid gold.  And she sure is likeable, if you're a country music lover or not!    People magazine calls her "unpretentious."  That's an awesome vibe to put off.

It seemed like really, everybody who knew Garry Marshall liked him, as so many nice things have been said.   The writer, director, producer who had a hand in a zillion TV and movie hits - including "Happy Days," "The Odd Couple," "Pretty Woman," and "The Princess Diaries," passed this month at the age of 81.   "Garry once said:   ‘I try to find scripts of stories that kinda celebrate the human condition… let’s talk about the tough world out there and the human spirit overcoming adversity.' Yeah, so, that didn't take long, did it?  "The Los Angeles Rams preseason opener got off to a rousing start."  And I'm talking about the fan fights, arrests, and hospitalizations.  I mean, really?  The first game back in Los Angeles?   All you folk have to do is sit there and enjoy yourself.  Los Angeles I continue to be worried about you.  You got it all going on, but you still can't make it happen.   news

MORE COW BELL

Ya'know how them preggers lady cows get to waggin their tails harder as labor contractions kick up?  (I'm listening to George Strait right now.  Don't mind the accent.)   ---Well the University of New Hampshire folk attached a sensor (the "Moocall") to them fine tails, and now the boss can receive a text about an hour before Junior comes.  So far so good.   (You human Dads-to-Be don't get any bullish ideas.  Just stay with your honey like big boys.)    story
