#SHARKWEEK

In May, Maria Korcsmaros went for a 2-hour swim at Corona del Mar State Beach, Californa, to train for an upcoming Iron Man and was attacked by a shark.  DNA samples suggest it was a 9-foot teen shark.   The bite broke two ribs, punctured a lung and liver, fractured her pelvis, and took a good part of her tricep.   Says Korcsmaros, "It’s made me stronger.  When you experience something like this and make it through, you have a certain amount of respect.”       story

Principle in the type:  "It's your reaction to adversity, not the adversity itself, that determines how your life's story will develop."    Dieter F. Uchtdorf
