ONE FOR YOU ONE FOR ME ONE FOR YOU ONE FOR ME

Built in 1853 for socialite Elizabeth Schermerhorn Jones in Rhinebeck, New York, Wyndclyffe Castle sold this month for a mere $120,000.  Most interesting fact is the currently rundown and deserted estate gave "birth to the idiom 'Keeping up with the Joneses,'" when first built.    I guess Joneses come, and Joneses go.    news

PERFORMING FOR YOUR SUPPER

Performance anxiety anyone?  One has to audition even to be a performer in the New York subway stations.  Dozens and dozens made the first cut and showed up at NYC's Grand Central Terminal, ". . . vying for permission to set up their underground acts for tips.  They appeared before a jury of musicians and transit employees."    news link      New York, New York.  I hear if you make it there you can make it anywhere.
