THE KISS HEARD AROUND THE WORLD

You know the kiss.  It was the day the U.S declared victory over Japan, and a sailor in New York City exuberantly laid one on the closest nurse.  What a glimpse of excitement, joy, surrender, and romance it was captured by photographer Alfred Eisenstaedt.  Check out the link if you need a refresher.  (story link)     Edith Shain, said nurse, passed away a few years ago, but her moment lives on.  She admitted once, that maybe she should have gotten the unknown fella's name and number!

Principle in the type:  "Lust is temporary, romance can be nice, but love is the most important thing of all.  Because without love, lust and romance will always be short-lived.  Danielle Steel
