WELCOME HOME

"...decades after he lay bleeding in a field in Vietnam worried if he would lose his leg, Lt. Col. Dale Hanson," thanked Disneyland for the healing role it played in his life.  And Disneyland honored him with "a special introduction" in it's daily Flag Retreat Ceremony.   Upon return to America after the war, and on a whim purchasing $1 'Welcome Home' tickets, Hansen spend hours on a bench in Disneyland, "enjoying the happiness," people watching, and "getting his thoughts together."    story

Principle in the type:  "What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us."      Ralph Waldo Emerson

  1. I, too, have enjoyed just sitting on a bench in The Happiest Place On Earth for extended times, soaking up the palpable mood of joy. It's a unique phenomenon of that place. Apparently there is a healing aspect also...
