I HATE IT WHEN THAT HAPPENS

On the way to a fitness class, Lisa Lobree was hit on the head when a catfish fell from the sky.  I hate it when that happens.  As for 'what the heck?'  --Friends saw "a bird flying away right after the fish fell," and likely had lost grip of it's lunch.  It's fishy, whatever the story is.     story

PEACE, MAN

Bob Dylan is being pretty quiet about winning the 2016 Nobel prize in Literature.  The first musician ever.  Are lyrics poetry?  Is Dylan Nobel prize material?  That's up to you.  Meanwhile, his silence in the matter has struck some as ill-mannered.   I mean it is an honor.   Though he doesn't speak officially for the Swedish Academy, academy member Dagens Nyheter, said, 'One can say that it is impolite and arrogant.' "     story
Fancy a video since I didn't post one yet this weekend?   It doesn't get more Bob Dylan, landmark 60s, than this.  You likely know it:

ONE FOR YOU ONE FOR ME ONE FOR YOU ONE FOR ME

Built in 1853 for socialite Elizabeth Schermerhorn Jones in Rhinebeck, New York, Wyndclyffe Castle sold this month for a mere $120,000.  Most interesting fact is the currently rundown and deserted estate gave "birth to the idiom 'Keeping up with the Joneses,'" when first built.    I guess Joneses come, and Joneses go.    news

NIXATOPIA

First opened 26 years ago, the Richard Nixon Presidential Library "was dismissed by many historians as more of a whitewash than a faithful retelling," of the Nixon presidency years.  Recently redesigned, reworked, and reopened, the Library has been lauded now as a far better and more honest representation of the Nixon story.  (Oh, silly Watergate.   It was a simpler time in Presidential warfare.  You should see us now!)     news

PRETTY HAPPY

Ladies.  It's what's inside that matters?  Where does one find happiness?  What's the secret to not obsessing with beauty?  Boy those are tough ones.  Queen B explores:

Principle in the type:  ". . . contribution of women is often underappreciated.  I wish to express gratitude for the influence of good women, identify some of the philosophies and trends that threaten women’s strength and standing, and voice a plea to women to cultivate the . . .  power within them."    D.
