PUTTING YOUR BEST FOOD FORWARD

What can I say?  I freaking love the Met Gala!   If you have an ounce of creativity or curiosity, scroll through at the link, and tell me your favorite dress 'art!'   This is breaking news.   (Bonus:  Enjoyed that Courtney Love and Francis Bean went together.  A sign their constant fighting may be fake news.)      news

GOT WHAT IT TAKES

I have kind of an Anna Wintour girl crush.  Can't explain it quite.  (Did you see the The First Monday in May?)   Anyway, a little fun and games for you below.  (And can you tell the sweaters apart? ... Oh, you'll see what I mean.)

Principle in the type:  "You may think you don't have talents, but that is a false assumption, for we all have talents and gifts, every one of us.  The bounds of creativity extend far beyond the limits of a canvas or a sheet of paper and do not require a brush, a pen, or the keys of a piano.  Creation means bringing into existence something that did not exist before--colorful gardens, harmonious homes, family memories, flowing laughter."    Dieter F. WE ARE

The New York City non-profit God's Love We Deliver recently got "a spacious new headquarters" that can now take "it's vital mission to a whole new level," reports Architectural Digest.   Since 1985, GLWD has delivered over 16 million meals to the needy sick and their families.    " 'Delivering a hot meal to someone feels so good,' says Dorella Walters, senior director of program services . . . "       story

A FEW GOOD MEN

Public Morals is new on TNT.  Series creator Ed Burns places the cop drama smack in the middle of the 1960's New York Police Department's public morals division.  I wouldn't call his officer Terry Muldoon character a total bad guy, but he ain't no good guy either.  Muldoon is definitely up to some shenanigans.  "The line between the good guys and the bad guys is very thin,"  says Muldoon.    story
