The New York City non-profit God's Love We Deliver recently got "a spacious new headquarters" that can now take "it's vital mission to a whole new level," reports Architectural Digest.   Since 1985, GLWD has delivered over 16 million meals to the needy sick and their families.    " 'Delivering a hot meal to someone feels so good,' says Dorella Walters, senior director of program services . . . RINGO UNLOADS

Ringo Starr sold a lot of cool stuff, many of the proceeds going to his and his wife Barbara Bach's Lotus Foundation, "which funds and promotes charitable projects."  Charity never fails!   The Ludwig Oyster Black Pearl three-piece drum kit used in the beginning peak of the Beatles fame, sold "for a record $2.2 million at Julien's Auctions" during the three-day sale December 3rd through the 5th.  (I think this is the drum kit seen in this post.)

SAINT TERESA

Mother Teresa whose life was dedicated to helping the poor in the slums of India, is on the road to be a saint.  "She will likely be canonized in September to coincide with the 19th anniversary of her death. . . .  She was beatified in 2003 as Blessed Teresa of Calcutta," but it takes two miracles to become a saint.  Record of those exist in the form of her healing the sick.  And don't forget the Nobel Peace Prize she was awarded in 1979.       news
