The Chinese New Year started February 19th, and celebrations followed for many days after.  It is the year of the sheep, ram, or goat, depending on translation - all of which mean, Party!  The 116th Golden Dragon Parade in Los Angeles is one of the biggest of it's kind in the country.

"Everyone comes to celebrate the Chinese New Year . . . Everybody comes together to understand each other: respect, harmony,"  said Chester Chong    article link

I don't know if I totally believe the "everybody comes together" part? --but I sure do like it!

Principle in the type:  "All of us should banish hateful communications and practice civility for differences of opinions."   Dallin H. Oaks
